1. Gili Trawangan (East side), Indonesia
The specialty of Gili is the three tiny teardrop islands of Gili lie just Northwest of Lombok, Bali’s more rugged sister island in Indonesia. They have been growing ever more popular among backpackers over the last 10 years, but due to their remote location and under-developed circumstance, are still fairly unknown by other tourists.
Though it is their under-development that gives the Gili islands their charm, and cements them as three of the most beautiful paradise islands in the world!

2. Koh Wai, Thailand
Thailand’s best kept secret HAS to be Koh Wai! This almost uninhabited island, located in the Ko Chang archipelago in the Gulf of Thailand, is simply AMAZING!!! and it was also suggested by blogger, one of the best places to swim with the infamous luminous plankton due to the lack of lights past 11pm:
3. Koh Rong, Cambodia
Koh Rong was a magical place, but is quickly becoming overrun with backpackers which means more rubbish and people, BUT Long Beach on the other side of the island was, and still is, stunning! with not a single shop, restaurant or bar in sight! I’ve also heard Koh Rong Samleon(the next island along) is a must see.
4. Otres Beach, Cambodia
Otres Beach - just up the road from party hard Serendipity Beach but could not be further away in terms of vibe. It’s chilled, hippy atmosphere means lazy (recovery) days after a heavy night in Serendipity is just what the doctor ordered. A few (not too many) Cambodian ladies stroll the beach selling yummy shellfish, juicy fruit, bracelets and massages, loungers are free and there aren’t too many people around to disturb you. Water sports available further up the beach as to not disturb sunbathers & swimmers:
5. The Secret Beach in Mirissa, Sri Lanka
Hidden away just past the main beach in Mirissa (which has a lot of waves) is a small hidden relaxed beach which few people (currently!) know exists. It was such a find! Find out more about it click here
